UPDATE: Terrorist attacks wreak havoc in London

This is still early in the day, so more details will flow as the day unfolds.

As of right now, 40+ people have been killed and 350+ have been injured after at least seven four blasts on the Underground network and a double-decker bus in London. Tony Blair is convinced it was a series of terrorist attacks.

Of course it was. Regardless of who did it, this is by definition a terrorist attack. I wonder if liberal Brits will blame this on Blair, or if they show some of that reputed British pride and want to smite the bastards who did this to them. After all, liberals do have a tendency to point fingers during attacks like this, instead of the normal human reaction of unifying and fighting.

Let's see if Jihad George Galloway rallies to al Qaeda's defense.

UPDATE - 8:19 a.m. EST: Looks like al Qaeda is claiming responsibility, and predictably, it's for Britain's involvement in Iraq. Spain cut and run when they were attacked for the same reason. Time will tell if Britain goes the same way or not. Anyway, story here.

UPDATE - 11:09 a.m. EST: The number of dead and injured keeps rising, and the number of explosions keeps changing. I'll update the numbers above as the day goes on.
