Ceci Connelly...or Debbie Downer?

There's a skit on Saturday Night Live where Rachel Dratch plays a character called Debbie Downer. Debbie Downer is with a group of people who are all (except for her) having a good time, and she comments on everything that someone else says with a negative retort (while the tuba blares the "Wooomp-WOOOOOOOOOOOOMP" downer music afterwards).

Ceci Connelly is a liberal (she writes for the Washington Post...big surprise there!) who peddled the unsubstantiated rumor that about 100 prisoners have been killed, on Brit Hume's Fox News show. You know...Fox News? The hopelessly biased news channel that never offers liberal voices like Connelly, Colmes, van Susteren, Geraldo...uh, never mind. As usual, I digress...

Leave it to her to (a) believe such an absurdly high number and (b) believe that the U.S. is more evil than the Islamofascists detained. The number appears closer to 16, and chances are that if they were killed by allied captors, said captors will be tried for it.
