Elitists: "W. hates black folks"

NBC held a televised concert/telethon on Friday night to raise money for the relief efforts to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. However, leave it to leftist elite moonbats to never miss an opportunity to turn what should be a non-partisan charity event into a Bush-bash-a-thon. From the AP:
It began, fittingly enough, with jazz from New Orleans natives Harry Connick Jr. and Wynton Marsalis. But "A Concert for Hurricane Relief," a heartfelt and dignified benefit aired on NBC and other networks Friday night, took an unexpected turn thanks to the outspoken rapper Kanye West.

Appearing two-thirds through the program, he claimed "George Bush doesn't care about black people" and said America is set up "to help the poor, the black people, the less well-off as slow as possible."
West had been in a horrific auto accident in 2002, and needed several screws put in his skull (facial region). It's too bad they didn't screw his mouth shut, too. Not finished, though:
Comedian Mike Myers was paired with West for a 90-second segment that began with Myers speaking of Katrina's devastation. Then, to Myers' evident surprise, West began a rant by saying, "I hate the way they portray us in the media. If you see a black family, it says they're looting."
Uh...black families WERE looting. Pictures don't lie. Cameras picking this up means that the media is making blacks look bad? Maybe...oh, I dunno...THESE looters were making themselves look bad? And what's this "portray us", Kanye? Are you saying that YOU are a looter? If you're not, then you're not part of the "us" that the looters are, now are you? Dimwit...

Not to be outdone, Michael Moore mouthed off (no pun intended), too:
No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!
I guess the folks allow for press releases at the Fat Farm. Kanye and Michael...birds of a feather. Too bad that the mayor of New Orleans (that would be a black mayor, Kanye and Mikie...thus, beyond criticism or reproach) ignored Bush's plea to order a mandatory evacuation, until it was too late.

Thank God (insert screw-faced or morbidly obese deity here) that we have rich effete leftists who know nothing about true human suffering to sit in their palaces and tell the rest of us unenlightened peons how to solve society's ills! Then again, they haven't told us how to solve social ills...they just bitch about them, before boarding their Learjets to head back to their Miami mansions.

Thanks for fouling up a perfectly good charitable event, you sorry ass moonbats!
