Point to ponder

I hate to harp on this, but...

Read the post I did two posts back, about how the Red Cross (flush with food, water, and medicine) was kept out of New Orleans areas that had lots of people, specifically the Superdome and Convention Center.

Did you know that only the blogosphere, talk radio, and Fox News ran with this story? The Red Cross is denied access to humans in dire need of help, and the state prevents them from entering and helping! Yet nary a peep from the MSM.

Let's assume that the Red Cross said that FEMA or the Pentagon or some other federal agency/department kept them out of New Orleans. I don't have to tell you that CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, NYT, and the rest of the MSM would be on that story like Bill Clinton on a U.N. intern! However, since the true story doesn't harm Bush (and actually lends further evidence that the state and local government, NOT the feds, mucked this up), the MSM turns a blind eye to it.

Nope...no liberal media bias.

UPDATE (9/9/05, 9:57 a.m. EST): Lisa Renee brought to my attention that CNN finally "got off their duff" and reported on the story (my words, not hers!). Granted, they did it in a manner so as to try and defend the state (surprise, surprise), but they did report it. As such, their name has been struckthrough above.
